Attorney MERL LEDFORD III received his AB Degree in 1974 from University of California, Santa Barbara with majors in English and economics. He earned his JD degree in 1978 from University of California, Hastings College of the Law where he participated on law review as staff writer (Constitutional Law Quarterly) and Issues Editor (Communications & Entertainment Law Journal). He was employed by the University as Teaching Assistant, Hastings' Trial Evidence Seminar, and by Hastings Center for Trial & Appellate Advocacy as Program Coordinator for the 1977 College of Advocacy. Mr. LEDFORD has served as a CLE Panelist, expert witness, and on State Bar of California, civic, and non-profit boards and committees throughout his professional career. He was named "Inspired Solo" by a national law group in 2008. He maintains a regular program of pro bono representation for victims of RIAA abuse, deceptive business practices, unfair competition, and regulatory oppression by federal, state and local agencies. Mr. LEDFORD is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court and all California State and Federal Courts. He appears pro had vice in other jurisdictions throughout the Western United States in association with local AV-rated counsel.

Executive Assistant PEGGY FERNANDES received her AB Degree in Fine Arts from California State University, Fresno. Her background of over thirty years in produce sales, agriculture and business finance brings practical experience to clients' business litigation and planning issues. Her blend of experience, cutting-edge information technology skills, and common sense is an important influence on team-based cost effective business solutions our clients can use. Ms. FERNANDES holds a California Notary Commission and is available in that capacity to clients statewide.
